Let's ramble a bit about work. Or better said about management, trust and leadership.
If you are looking into the average company, you have managers, team leads, heads of departments and all those things. And what they are mostly known for? Be honest; being bottlenecks.
Bottlenecks where decisions need to be made. And the rest has to sit still and wait.
Their fault or not, but sometimes hundreds of people are sitting on their hands waiting for a decision of a person that is not even qualifiied to do so.
If we would instead give the knowledgable people the ability to decide and also live with their decisions, we would not only speed things up, we could encourage a better culture.
But who wants that? Yeah, they have to do what the managers say... Period.
